Boiler replacement in the East Midlands

The job

The customer's existing combi boiler had reached the point where it was due for replacement. They wanted a modern, reliable and efficient heating system, and better control over their heating and hot water than the old boiler was giving them. We looked over what was already in place at the property in the East Midlands and set out what a straight combi replacement would involve, including the pipework alterations, the flue and condensate work and the controls that would go in alongside the new boiler.

What we did

We removed the existing combi boiler and installed a new Worcester Bosch combi in its place. That meant altering the pipework to suit the new unit, making up the flue and condensate connections, and fitting system protection in the form of a magnetic filter to catch debris circulating in the heating system. Bosch EasyControl smart controls went in alongside the boiler, giving the customer proper control over both heating and hot water. With the boiler in place we flushed the heating system, added corrosion inhibitor to keep it protected, then tested and fully commissioned the installation. Materials used on the job were the Worcester Bosch combi boiler, Bosch EasyControl smart controls, a magnetic system filter, copper pipework and fittings, and flushing chemicals and inhibitor.

The result

The new boiler was installed, tested and commissioned, and the home now has reliable heating and hot water with smart control over both. The installation was finished neatly and safely, and the boiler was registered for its 10-year manufacturer's parts and labour guarantee. It is a straightforward boiler replacement carried out properly: the right unit for the property, the system cleaned and protected, and the controls set up so the customer gets the most out of it. Boiler replacements like this one are work we take on across the East Midlands.
